Abstract Submission Information and Guidelines:

Common Guidelines: (Oral-Poster-Video Submission)
•   All presenters should be registered to the conference at the time of their oral / poster / video presentation.
•   Submitting an abstract DOES NOT register you for IACTSCON 2016
•   All submission will ONLY be accepted by “Electronic Submission” via www.iacts-abstracts2016.com (This portal will be activated in 1st week of September 2015).
•   Submission forwarded by e-mail, fax, post or courier will not be accepted.
•   Submission deadline is December 31, 2015 Midnight IST for all kinds of submissions (Oral-Poster-Video).
•   Make sure that you have chosen the correct “subject topic” from the list before submitting your abstract.
•   The official language of the conference is ENGLISH and all proceedings and presentations will be in English only.

Specific Guidelines:

A: Full Paper (10 min. presentation + 5 min. for discussion): Word count: 250 (The abstract title and authors/institutions are NOT counted toward this allotment).

Title: Titles need to be submitted in Times New Roman size 10. 
First letter in each word of the title must capitalize.
Title has to appear in boldface letter.
Author: Authors need to be submitted in Times New Roman size 10.
Authorship on multiple abstracts is permitted.
Body Text Format: Abstracts MUST be submitted as a MS Word Document (2000-2003-2007 version only). 
No other version would be acceptable.
Font Type: “Times New Roman”
Font Size:10
Print spacing: Single spaced only.



Composition of the abstract: The abstract must be composed of;

4.    Conclusions:

After the introduction, method, results and conclusions words, double point (: ) must be used as shown above.


Graphics and tables are allowed in black & white. No part of the file should be in colour.

•   You should not use any special formatting and abstracts should not include footnotes or references, as they will omitted during printing anyway.
•   An abstract can not contain data which has already been accepted for publication as an original manuscript in some other journal at the time of abstract submission or has been previously presented at a national or international meeting. However, your presentation at a local meetings does not preclude presentation at IACTSCON 2016.
•   IACTSCON 2016 will take a serious view on Research Governance. Please ensure that the abstract has been seen and agreed by all of the named authors before submission, who should be able to present and discuss the data independently with equal authority. All correspondence regarding your submission will be sent to the submitting author.
•   Acceptance of submission and type of presentation (oral/poster/video) is entirely a subject to decision of the independent scientific committee free of any interference of the local host committees.
•   The accepted oral and poster abstracts will be published in a in the open journal of the CSiI and or supplement volume of  the official journal called IJCTVS. 
•   As the abstract will be judged anonymously covering the author and institution names, the body text must not reveal any institutional affiliation.
•   If your abstract is selected for an oral presentation, the organizing committee assumes that the contact author hereby gives permission for IACTSCON 2016 to record the presentation for possible inclusion in a compilation of presentations from IACTSCON 2016.
•   Submission of the abstract carries with it an obligation to present the accepted paper/poster in person without any change in scientific content during the allotted time in the above conference.
•   Once submitted, NO REVISIONS to abstract will be allowed.

B: Short Presentations (5 min presentation + 3 minutes discussion): All other guidelines are similar as for full paper submission.
 
C: Video Presentation: A video abstract for audiovisual sessions should contain summary of the video presentation. This written note must exactly follow the format structure as for the full paper abstract as explained above. 
  • Video can be submitted in any of the following format.
  • Formats: avi. mpeg, flv, mov.
  • Video must not contain any music or commentary except lables or still pictures to explain the procedure. In no case a video should not exceed 6 minutes in length.

D: Poster Presentation

All posters will be electronic LED display during the entire period of the conference for any one to view at any time during business hours.
They must contain a single MS Power-Point slide with no letter smaller than 14F in the poster.

  • Application: You must save your “poster” as a .JPG, .PNG or .PDF
  • Minimum font size: 14
  • Orientation: Landscape

  • Maximum file size: Unlimited

E: Competition categories: ( Congenital - Adult Cardiac Surgery - Thoracic - Vascular - Hybrid - Innovation)
  • This will be 5 minutes presentation and 3 minutes Q&A with the presenter by a panel of judges. Question will asked on concept, design and methodology of the presented study.
  • One member is allowed to present a maximum of only one oral presentation and/or one poster for being judged in competitive category.
  • For the first time the competitive category will be given prominence and the respect it deserves for the students and young scientists by arranging the all 10 presentations in the main hall with no other session going at that time.


Abstract Book: Electronic publication of the abstract book will be given to the presenting author on a pen drive in the conference bag. Online version will be available for anyone to download.
