WELCOME MESSAGE
IACTSCON Lucknow 2016
Theme: Embracing the Future and Recreating the Present.

62nd Annual Meeting of the Indian Association of the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the IACTSCON 2016 Steering and Organization Committees, it is a great honor and a pleasure inviting you to the 62nd Annual Meeting of the Association of the Indian Association of the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons which will be held on February (Thursday) 18th till (Sunday) 21st, 2016.

Lucknow, the capital most populated north central state, is also famously called the city of Nawab's. The city is uniquely surrounded by thousands of years of historical and cultural heritage is the true melting pot of cultures and civilizations. It offers easy air connections to hundreds of cities around and is one of the world's most exciting destinations. Its outstanding infrastructure, including modern, luxurious accommodations with conference and exhibition venues makes the city one of the best choices.

The IACTSCON is one the most important educational event in the academic calendar of IACTS. This Conference will be a very different form the ones that has been held so far and will offer an interesting mix of lectures, symposia, panel discussions and paper presentations by experts from different parts of the country and the world. The meet promises to offer insights into vexing problems that a surgeon faces in day to day practice both in operating room and in the post operative care period. We are certain that based on the current state of technical knowledge, the sharing of experience and the widened discussion of all the common objectives will facilitate the definition of possible synergies to implement and to develop in this field.

The conference itself will be an incredible opportunity to learn, to participate and to network with those who are at the forefront of our field. The Scientific program will provide you with the most advanced knowledge and will be at the cutting edge in cardiology, cardiac surgery, anesthesia and intensive care. The Organizing Committee is glad that we will have opportunities in this conference to interact with each other and learn from each other’s experience and achievements. The meeting will also give opportunity to have plenty of informal interactions.

We also have compiled an interesting social program to make your evenings exciting and fun filled.

Our goal as the organizing committee is to give you the finest conference experience and life long memories of your visit to Lucknow. The spring season of the city of Nawab's is the best time of the year and we wish you all a pleasant stay in Lucknow.I have no doubt that this meeting will be a valuable opportunity for all of you in a scientifically enriched environment in perfect harmony with all the historical beauties of magnificent Lucknow and its royal hospitality.

We are committed to preparing what I hope will be a memorable meeting for you and I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you to Lucknowl.

Cordial Regards,
